Hunters Be Close

"It's a trap set by Aliens!" Knight barked in Midnight's ear as she pushed herself up.

Midnight stoped. "Oh..." now she understood. No food would be that easy to get in a place filled with many other hungry wolves. She gulped. "I-I think I've lost my hunger." she said to Knight.

"Really? That's not like you" Knight said with humor creeping into her voice.

Midnight would have smiled...........but she didn't have lips!

Knight wagged her tail twice, then looked around for something to eat. She felt starving.

Midnight was scared to go hunting so she just followed Knight.

Knight didn't know what to do next, she smelled prey, but she was never good at hunting and catching prey.

"Do you think we should find a rat burrow or something?" asked Midnight. "I'm getting really hungry. But, what's easy to catch and safe to eat?"

"I think I smell a rabbit over there"' Knight said, pointing with her nose. "A live one" she said. She shuffled her paws awkwardly knowing she couldn't catch it.

"But rabbits are really hard to catch..." said Midnight "do you think there are any of those dumb birds who come here sometimes? They are really easy to catch!"

"I don't know" said Knight. She heard a boom in the distance made by one of the hunters. She whined and possibly wet herself a little.

Midnight, startled gave a little bark. There was silence, then she heard rustleing...she stared wide eyed at the bush where the noise had come.

Artie was watching from afar. "Wolves," she growled to herself. "I'll have to be careful."

a small rabbit hopped out of the bush ((it was REALLY stupid or something to not hear Midnight's bark XD))

Midnight lunged at it and caugh it around the neck. She was very hungry and quickly ate, leaving half for her sister.

Knight ate greatfully, happy that her sister could hunt well.
