Babysitting Without Pay

Dean looked up shocked. Santos! You spoke old!

Curious, Tusumi said. He felt slightly surprised Santos was the first one. He'd have thought it would be Thade or him.

I did?! Thought Santos in shock. I just said what I hear Dad say a lot.

"Who are you?" Said Dick to Razz, almost in a growl.

"I'm Razz-- this your boy?" Said Razz, holding up Santos, who had his tail between his legs.

Dick took Santos, glaring at Razz.

Good idea, Tusumi complimented. He squeezed his eyes, then blurted out, "YOU #@$%&^ LITTLE &%$@* OF A @#$%& THAT @!#$% TO #$@%#% OFF!!!!!"

Dean laughed. That was cool! What'd you say?

Tusumi shrugged. How should I know? That's what Mom always calls Uncle Johnny.

Erika heard what Tusumi said. "What was that?" She brushed aside the leaves. "Tusumi!" She picked him up.

Tusumi sighed.

Dick ignored Razz now, who walked away.

"Dean? Thade?" He said, looking around the bushes. He saw a small black pup glaring at him, so he picked him up.

Thade didn't want to be the last one to have at his first old words, so he tried it with paw movements like his dad did.

"Awh-MEEE!" Thade snarled, shaking one fist like his dad had done so many times. Dick laughed.

Dean whimpered, and tried it too. "Ah wuu mok!!" he yowled.

Erika looked up. There, in a tree, was a a small reddish brown fox pup. "Dean, get down now!"

Dean whimpered again. When his mother used The Tone, she scared him. Slowly, he dropped from the tree into his mother's waiting arms.

I need to learn to do that, Tusumi thought, watching his mother say one sentence and watching Dean obey instantly.

Amy started the slow treck back.

((That is what happen when one -coughcoughcoughBETHERcoughcoughcough- totally poofs for like thirty years and then comes back.

Erika rolled her eyes. "No. We're in the middle of the freikin' forest. You can just starve."

Tusumi, who somehow understood that, laughed. Dean's face fell, and he whined.

Amy could almost see the place where the pups were now, she just coninued forward.

((What's she gonna do? Nibble on them? -hamster joke- -looks around anxiously to make sure Amy didn't hear that-))
